Profile Of Dr. Allen Joseph
Dr Allen Joseph was born on 9 September 1952 and is the eldest of 10 children. He completed his academic career at St Philomena’s in Durban. He was provincial champion in judo and karate in 1970 and operated his own karate school in Merebank. He was a boiler-maker welder by trade and excelled to the highest position. He travelled extensively within South Africa and was very sought after in his field by various blue chip companies. He was promoted to Recruitment and Training Officer for Sasol during his time with them. In 1969 his life was transformed in a tent crusade when he received the call of God. He attended a church in Shallcross where he and six others founded the vibrant youth group ‘Teen Challenge’. In 1975 he met and married Pastor Roshini and they had 4 children. In 1977 he was ordained as a minister of Souls Harbour in Pietermaritzburg. In 1983 God used him as a springboard to launch Revival Ministries, which has grown from strength to strength and now boasts a membership of over 7000 members.

His gifts and callings have come through confirmation by prophecy. Prophet Ed Traut of Cape Town, South Africa recognised and credentialed him as a prophet. In 1993, the gift and calling of an Apostle was confirmed by the presbytery in Mobile Alabama, USA. In 1992, Pastor Benny Hinn confirmed the gifts of signs and wonders over him, since then the anointing has reached another level. In 2002, Dr Allen received his ‘Doctor of Divinity’ from the Agape Theological Seminary International for showing remarkable and outstanding leadership in the Body of Christ.

Dr Allen Joseph is a mentor to many pastors and leaders in and around the city. He is often called on to assist in the development of church leaders, businessmen and community leaders. He is also a prophetic teacher and has developed a discipleship course called ‘Laying the Foundation’ to prepare and equip aspiring leaders to identify with the vision of the church. Dr Allen is mission orientated, providing ongoing support to church in India and also disadvantaged communities in South Africa. His recent outreach programmes has resulted in churches being established in India and in the United Kingdom. He has preached on national television and enjoyed success on Highway Radio with a programme entitled ‘It’s Up To You’. His sterling and principled leadership qualities, his resilience and ability to succeed has been an inspiration to many. His commitment has truly lent lustre and dignity to the efforts of reaching the lost at any cost.
